Information Requests

The Learning Division offers a variety of ever-expanding online resources. In order for you to make full use of the resources on our site, we ask you to provide some basic information.

If you wish to receive news and updates from The Learning Division, you can join our mail list at no cost; you can also opt-out from our mailings at any time.

If you register to attend workshop or webinar, we will you also ask you for your organization name, physical mailing address, and phone number. This is collected mainly so we can contact you about your paid account or any billing issues. As always, you can opt out from our mailings at any time.

To process your payment, we will ask for certain information about you (e.g., your credit card number and street address) solely for the purpose of authorizing the transaction and processing and delivering your order.

Online transactions are carried out through a secure server using appropriate encryption in order to protect the security of this information. Any customer service representative of The Learning Division who needs access to your credit card information in order to deal with your order will be bound by a confidentiality agreement that prohibits his or her disclosure of that information.

E-mail

Unless you opt out, we may use your registration information to send you our free e-newsletter, and e-mail announcements about site updates and events. We never provide or sell user names, e-mail addresses, or registration information to any outside organization. Every e-mail we send has a one-click link you can use to change your opt-in and opt-out preferences.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that most sites, including The Learning Division's place on your computer. Cookies help us identify your interests. They also prevent you from having to register repeatedly on our site.

General

These Terms and Conditions and the use of this site shall be governed by the laws in force in the Province of Ontario, Canada without regard to the conflict of laws provisions therein. You irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the Province of Ontario. You agree that the provisions of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall not apply. If any provision hereof is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, it shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force without being invalidated in any way. The parties hereto are independent contractors.

These Terms and Conditions are not intended to create a partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between the parties. Except for any written agreements with The Learning Division that expressly reference these terms and conditions, this is the entire agreement between you and The Learning Division relating to the matters contained herein and shall not be modified except in writing by The Learning Division.
